SOC Rules and Regulations:
This document is designed to guide the SOC to a higher level of skilling and progress the SOC in the right direction at any time it may be contested by any SOC member. Final voting of the SOC rules will be decided by the Colonel vote.
Promotion System
1. The Promotion System will be a skill-based system, utilizing player’s scan able skills such as Attributes (+8 for players with 1 stamina) not including Health.
2. All members will be placed in the ranks according to their total skill level.
3. Ranks
3a. Colonels: 8, elected by all WildD3amons members
3b. Captains: 16, determined by attributes (the 16 best skilled members without general and colonel)
3c. Sergeants: no limitation in numbers, you need at least 130 attributes
3d. Privates: no limitation in numbers, approved new members and all members, that do not fullfill the requirement to move up to the next rank
3e. Recruits: no limitation in numbers, new members that have not been approved
4. To prevent clash of personalities a new member in the SOC will remain either a recruit or a private until at least 1 promotion. This rank break down will allow easy identification to higher SOC members as to the status of the applicant. No Recruit nor private will be promoted unless they have supplied their attributes.
5. The General will conduct promotions. The General will maintain a consolidated list of all SOC members’ skills. The General will pass promotions down to a Colonel upon her absence. Scans can be conducted through out the month to ensure everyone has a chance to get scanned.
6. Promotion window will be 1st to the 3rd of each month and all promotions will be completed by the 5th of each month. This time should be sufficient since everyone has already been scanned through out the month.
7. The promotion standings will be posted on the website so SOC members can see what their goal is to get to the next rank. This will also include the date they were last scanned.
8. Promotion to Colonel is a voting system only the captains are eligible for promotion to Colonel and they must make it known that they desire to be a Colonel or they will not be added to the vote.
9. All Middle SOC members are able to vote for their Colonels (except the General).
10. Voting for Colonel will be conducted every 3rd month of the year; 1 March, 1 June, 1 Sep and 1 December.
11. For general promotions you must out skill the lowest skilled person in the rank above you. Example:
Capt Joe has 122 total skills.
Sgt Skilling has 120 total skills.
SGT Skilling needs to get 123 total skills to get promoted to Capt.
Once SGT Skilling gets to 123 he will become Capt and Capt Joe will be demoted to Sgt.
Grounds to be removed from the SOC:
1. No new scan results for 6 Months straight for Captains, 3 months without scan for all other members. After 3 months without new scans Captains will be demoted. After 3 more month without scan the ex-captains will be dismissed from soc. Exceptions are possible if the society is informed in advance about an absence of a member. Normal promotion system so no Colonel vote required.
2. Member becomes disruptive, Excessive in foul language or depending upon the nature and degree break the basic SOC values and rules (Colonel vote required).
3. Current members of the society have a problem with a new recruit.
